"It doesn't matter how old you are or what brings you back. For me its still Holywell Bay- a constant reminder of happy days. What I think is great is that Newquay moves with the times and still has enough to appeal to lots of people; so whether its just the two of us escaping for the weekend or a group of the girls catching up it is always best done in Newquay. In my opinion Newquay holidays are if anything better than ever." Sophs
"Walk out on to any of the headlands around Newquay and you will feel almost out to sea, with water on all sides and a real tranquility about it. I never tired of it when I lived there." Matt
"I couldn't believe when I read the post on your blogsite regarding Polly Joke! I spent many a happy day 20 years ago at Polly Joke! We were the only ones there and I have never heard anyone talk about it before. Fantastic memories, cheers." Jen
"After a great experience at the open air theatre with Kristy on the previous evening, I got up at 5am to set out for the UK's premier surfy town Newquay. My mate Mel lives down there now.It was great to catch up with Mel & Wes and all their mates. I'll definitely be heading down there again. I had intended to head down to Land's End and Penzance, but Newquay was too much fun and it had been ages since I'd seen Mel. I might head down there again when work finishes up.
It really felt like being somewhere back in Australia, though not as hot... Just the vibe and attitude of the town and its people was really refreshing and I think I needed that."
"Have now been in Newquay for 3 weeks....wow time has flown by! Have settled in well and met some great people so far. Working and playing hard....don't get much time to stop but its a good thing.
Went surfing for the first time the other day...managed to get up on my knees...wahoo! Almost got knocked out by my board cos too busy checking out hot surf dudes! The sun has been shining nearly every day but alas no tan…"
"After living in London for a while and finding it hard to save any $$$ we picked Newquay. It is a little surf town in Cornwall in the south west of England. Newquay itself was really pretty, it has the best surf in the UK and some really pretty beaches Went out a bit and did a few touristy things but mainly just relaxed which was much needed after the lifestyles we had been living."
"Walk was nice, although mainly in the trees, but the views of the secluded bays, spits, estuaries etc were fab. I thought I had seen nice beaches before but these were better and completely unspoilt and virtually no-one on them at at the moment."
