Newquay is a great place from which to explore Cornwall by bike. To help you on your way below are several cycling maps available for download. All are trails on the Cornish Way, part of the Sustrans ‘National Cycle Network' aimed at opening up large areas of Cornwall for the benefit of cyclists.

Bikes & Trains - some useful info...
Taking your bike on trains in the South West regional services is free (subject to availability of space) on most routes. Some trains require you to book in advance (minimum 2 hours before your journey) A reservation fee is payable. If you do not book in advance, or board a reservable train without a reservation you will have to pay a higher reservation fee. Further information via First Great Western Customer Services on 08457 000125, option 4, they will be happy to advise you of any restrictions. You can also book a space for your bicycle at any manned station including Newquay. This must be done at least 2 hours before the train will leave its origin station. Folding Cycles folded down/packed into a case are carried free on all journeys. Tandems, tricycles, motorised cycles & scooters are not carried on any service.
