On Monday 26th July Countryside hawking will be visiting Newquay Zoo between 11am and 2pm on Mondays until the 23rd of August to give talks on their wonderful Bird of Prey Collection.
Countryside Hawking will be bringing a number of impressive birds including, a European Eagle Owl, American Kestrel, Peregrine Falcon and Storm, the spectacular Harris Hawk.
The first visit from Countryside Hawking coincides with Newquay Zoo's bird themed week, ‘Beaks, Wings and Things' which runs from 24th - 30th July. Visitors to the Zoo will be given the opportunity to look at the lives of some of the Zoo's feathery friends in more detail.
Children's activities and workshops will be running throughout the week including, making fruit kebabs for the parrots or help prepare ice treats for the penguins!
Newquay Zoo is open daily from 09:30am to 6:00pm until 30 September and from 10:00am until 5pm from 1 October.
