Enjoyable for ages 1-101, and suitable for all weathers, pottery painting can be a very therapeutic and rewarding activity. It is now on offer in the heart of Newquay. Pot-tea Training is a very friendly and relaxed studio with a main room and dedicated family and party rooms. There are over 100 pieces of bisque (pottery blanks) to choose from. Plates, bowls, mugs, kitchenware, house plaques, money banks, skate boards, Gnomes, fairies. Even the Daleks have landed!
It is great fun! Babies can make footprint plates. The children can make something for their rooms. Mums might choose a spoon rest (or perhaps a wine goblet is more in order). Dads like recording their holidays on giant mugs and Grannies love to paint a plant pot. Granddads like sitting quietly in the comfy chairs watching what's going on!
It's pottery painting made easy in Pot-tea Training's starting point corner. You really do not need artistic talent to make something fantastic. There are books to inspire and trace from, there are step-by-step project cards to follow and lots of stampers etc. Staff are always on hand and happy to help. For added fun why not follow the tile trail through Newquay. It is a treasure hunt through the town's main streets, seeking out the hand-painted tiles in 17 shop windows along the route and spotting the golden teapot in each tile. Watch out there's a trick one! Your prize? Half price studio fee at the Pot-tea Training and discounts at other shops on the route.
