Newquay at Christmas

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It certainly is here in Newquay, with three days of festive loveliness for all to enjoy from the 29th November until 1st December. Newquay at Christmas is the perfect way to kick start your Christmas. 

Christmas Light Switch On and Lantern Parade 

Starting on Friday 29th November it’s the Christmas Light Switch On and Lantern Parade, each year this event just keeps on getting bigger and this year promises to be the best yet! With the Light Switch On happening at 7pm on Marcus Hill, there is plenty to keep the family occupied in the run up. Family entertainment starts from 5pm and live music from 6pm, so wrap up warm and head down to get the perfect spot. After the Christmas Lights Switch On, follow the Lantern Parade through the town towards Newquay Harbour to watch the sky fill up with a fantastic Fireworks Display. 

Also, there will be Late Night Christmas Shopping – so don’t forget to pop into your favourite shops along the way. 

Newquay Christmas Market 

This year's Community Christmas Market will be held at Fore Street Car Park from Friday 29th November from 2pm.

Christmas Market Opening Times 

Friday 29th November - 2pm - 10pm

Live Music - 8pm - 10pm 

Saturday 30th November - 10am - 5pm 

Live Music - 7pm - 11pm

Sunday 1st December - 10am - 4pm

Expect food, music and stalls all day, plus an exciting music event in the evening! 

Free Santa's Grotto 

Visit Santa in his grotto for FREE at Newquay at Christmas on Saturday 30th November 2019 between 10am and 5pm.
