7th September 2022
Trevornick Holiday Park at Holywell Bay is hosting its first ever Big Charity Weekend offering Cornwall locals a 2 night stay for £40 with a portion of the proceeds donated to Children’s Hospice South West.
Cornish residents with a TR or PL postcode can enjoy a 2 night stay on one of the site’s premium camping and touring pitches from Friday 23 and checking out on Sunday 25 September for just £40 with £5 from each booking donated to the vital children’s charity.
Adrian Tribe, General Manager of Trevornick, said: “We’re so happy we have the opportunity to support Children’s Hospice South West and give local families the chance to enjoy the last of the September sunshine as part of the Big Charity Weekend here at Trevornick Holiday Park.”
“The weekend’s line up of entertainment is jam packed and there will also be a 5k fun run with entry fees donated to the charity, a dog show, and a raffle!” He added.
Registration for the 5K fun run is already open and visitors who are not camping during the Big Charity Weekend are welcome to take part and help the fundraising effort.
Imagine Outdoors will also be helping the fundraising efforts with their bushcraft and archery sessions letting youngsters go wild outside. The local children’s entertainment group will be giving a porting of their profits from the weekend to Children’s Hospice Care.
As well as the great offer for locals guests can also make use of the free entertainment and onsite facilities throughout the weekend. Get outdoors and go fast on the bike track and have a fun kick-about on the football golf course with family and friends.
The outdoor heated pool will also be open throughout the weekend with the new for 2022 splash zone giving Cornish residents the last chance to make use of the facility which isn’t usually open to the non-staying residents.
Happy campers can also expect live music in the afternoons from singer/songwriter Damon Morey with the chance to try some tasty street food in the evenings.
There’s no need to leave Trevornick however the beach is often calling. Walk down through the holiday park onto the sand dunes and admire the beauty of Cornwall’s famous Holywell Bay. Look out to the smuggling history of Carter’s Rocks on the horizon or try and seek filming locations from the recently released prequel to the Game of Thrones series House of the Dragon starring Matt Smith.
Children’s Hospice South West is a vital charity which helps children and families in immeasurable ways. From providing palliative and respite care to bereavement support to families across the South West region, Trevornick are proud to be hosting The Big Charity Weekend and raising funds to help their work.
