Throughout the year Fistral Beach plays host to surf contests galore including night surfs and the exhilarating Zapcat races, while come June it’s high octane all the way with  the Volkswagen Run to the Sun customised cars and camper vans. Another highlight is the Relentless Boardmasters Festival - Europe’s premier surf, skate and music event held in Newquay this year on the 7^th – 11^th August.

Newquay in the Autumn has an amazing array of unique events starting with the Newquay Fish Festival bringing new tastes and headlines to the Harbour, closely followed by the Cornwall County Gig Championships, Newquay in Bloom, the British National Surf Championships, the British Surf Film Festival and Polo on the Beach at Watergate Bay while come November, Newquay’s new digital 5 screen Cinema – The Lighthouse, hosts the amazing Cornwall Film Festival – a 3 day showcase of over 150 movies by talented local and national film makers.
