About
The large, open and sandy beach at Holywell Bay is located around 6 miles west of Newquay, on the north Cornwall coast. Holywell Bay is a popular destination for surfers and swimmers. Cliffs encompass this rural beach, which at low tide is a mile long and there is a large expanse of sand dunes. The beach is exposed to large Atlantic swells and it is a popular beach with surfers and body boarders. At low tide children can paddle in rock pools or shallow streams on Holywell Bay beach. The numerous sand dunes provide a dry option at low or high tide. At high tide there is ample room amongst the dunes.
This beautiful beach has access from the car park from which is a short walk away. There are cafes and toilets and Lifeguards in the Summer season and Holywell Bay is open to dogs on leads all year. The beach is adjacent to Holywell Bay village which has pubs, shops and 1 ½ miles away at Cubert there is a Post Office, restaurant and two more pubs. There is a golf course, and a large leisure park with attractions including go-karts nearby.
