Spooky Newquay returns for 2026 with a bigger, scarier and more spectacular week of family Halloween fun starting with the UK’s biggest Zombie Crawl !!

Something spooky is stirring in Newquay…The zombies are waking up, the ghosts are getting ready to haunt the streets, and somewhere in the shadows there are already whispers of a few surprises that haven't yet been revealed! Following the huge success of previous years, Newquay BID is delighted to announce the return of Spooky Newquay and the Spooky Newquay Zombie Crawl for 2026, with a full week of free family Halloween entertainment running from Saturday 24 October to Saturday 31 October.
What started as a local family event has grown into a spectacular Halloween celebration, with families now travelling from across Cornwall and further afield, and even timing their holidays to coincide with the Zombie Crawl.
Newquay is quickly becoming known as one of the UK’s go-to destinations for a spooktacular Halloween scarefest. And this year, we're turning up the fright factor!
🎃 A whole morning of free family Halloween fun
The Spooky Newquay celebrations begin on Saturday 24 October, with a programme of free Halloween workshops and activities taking place at locations across the town between 11am and 2pm.
Families can get creative and prepare themselves for the Zombie Crawl with a whole host of spooky activities, including:
- Face painting
- Wound-making workshops
- Pumpkin carving
- Halloween banner makingSpooky storytelling
- Creative activities
- Street entertainment
- And plenty of mysterious surprises!
- There's something for little monsters of all ages.
🤖 Titan the Robot returns!
And what's a Newquay Halloween celebration without a little bit of giant robot chaos? The incredible Titan the Robot will be returning for another special appearance, bringing his unique brand of entertainment to the Killacourt at 2pm. Titan has proved a huge hit with families in previous years, and we're expecting another spectacular crowd.
But remember…
Titan isn't the only thing you might encounter in Newquay on 24 October.

🧟 The Zombie Crawl – the main event!
At 3pm, the zombies take over.
The Spooky Newquay Zombie Crawl will set off from Oakleigh Terrace, with hundreds of zombies, monsters, families, performers and spooky characters making their way through the heart of Newquay. The crawl will travel through the town before finishing at Sainsbury's at approximately 4.30pm.
And it isn't just zombies you'll see.The streets will come alive with:
- Local schools
- Dance groups
- Acting groups
- Voluntary organisations
- Street performers
- Lifeguards
- Radio Newquay
- Community groups
And plenty of unexpected spooky characters!
Newquay Town Council will once again be supporting the event, alongside WAX Events and many other local organisations helping to make the day possible.
Whether you're joining the crawl or simply watching from the sidelines, it's one of the best opportunities of the year to see Newquay completely transformed.

This year, we're making it even easier to discover the spooky side of Newquay. A brand-new interactive online Spooky Newquay map will help families find their way around the town, discover activities and see what's happening at different locations. Printed maps will also be available around Newquay, helping visitors navigate the route and find participating businesses, events and spooky activities.
So you won't just be following the zombies…
You'll be following the scares!
👻 Introducing the Spooky Newquay Passport
And this year there's another way to explore the town.
Families will be able to pick up a special Spooky Newquay Passport, designed to encourage them to explore different parts of Newquay and discover participating businesses. Businesses taking part will have their own spooky stamp.
Visit them, collect your stamp and keep exploring!
Once you've collected your stamps, you can hand your passport in during half-term week for the chance to win some fantastic Spooky Newquay prizes.
It's a little adventure for the children, a reason to explore the town and another way to get everyone involved in the Halloween celebrations.
The more you explore, the more spooky surprises you'll discover!
