Perranporth is 8 miles South of Newquay. Perranporth beach is a a large beach encircled by Perranporth town. It is a popular beach with families as the river flows onto the beach near the Ponsmere hotel which is great for kids to paddle in. It is a great place for surfing, snorkelling, sailing and generally splashing around.
