About
As part of the Clean Cornwall campaign, Treats On Trikes are looking for volunteers to help them clean up The Camel Trail. The litter pick is on the Saturday the 22nd of September starting at 11:00 a.m. There will be two teams of ‘pickers’, one starting in Padstow at Padstow Cycle Hire and another in Wadebridge, leaving from the public toilets near Bridge Bike Hire.
Treats On Trikes have had a ‘Scrap Heap Challenge’ and are using their ‘Trash Trikes’ to carry all the bags of rubbish they collect along the way. A complimentary hot cuppa and a slice of cake will be available at the end which will be halfway between Wadebridge & Padstow in Penquean Quarry, where the two teams of pickers will meet for refreshments. This is the usual trading location of Treats On Trikes.
Gloves, litter grabbers and bags will be provided for cleaning The Trail. All that volunteers are asked to bring is suitable clothing and appropriate footwear.
“We are looking forward to contributing to keep our beautiful county clean and what better time to do it than in CLEAN CORNWALL WEEK. It’s a great way to show we care for Cornwall and it brings our local communities together”.
