On 6th June, Newquay Town Council invites you to join us in honouring the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Normandy, France.

A beacon will be lit at the iconic Huer's Hut to commemorate the extraordinary bravery and sacrifice of the military forces.

The beacon lighting, scheduled for 9:15 pm, will coincide with a global ceremony, illuminating the sky with beacons around the world.

The evening kicks off at 8:30 pm with a special performance by the St Mawgan Military Wives Choir.

There will also be a Proclamation from the Town Crier on our social media channels at 8am and a Flag Raising Ceremony at the Council Offices on Marcus Hill at 9am.
