Newquay Town Council’s “Feel the Love” Online Festival
A free virtual festival event to celebrate Valentine’s Day this year and raise money for the Mayor’s charities.
Like many organisations, the Town Council has not been able to host its usual array of events over the past year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, the Council has been exploring ways in which it can bring joy to its residents whilst ensuring everyone stays safe at home.
The Newquay Town Council Events Facebook page will be sharing an array of entertainment to celebrate Valentine’s Day on Saturday 13th February.
The acts will be performing live from 10am, featuring local musicians such as Dr. Funk and Adam Parfitt, children’s entertainment from Entertainingly Different and more!
More details on specific acts will be announced soon.
The Council hopes that this event will also help to raise money for the Mayor’s charities of the year; the RNLI Newquay Lifeboats and the Mermaid Centre at Treliske Hospital. This is a free event; however, a donation link will be added to each post throughout the day so that people can donate to these important charities if they would like. A spokesperson from the Newquay Town Council Events team commented: “Our virtual Feel the Love Festival promises to be a day of fun for every member of the Newquay community. Please share the links with your family members who may not use Facebook and get them involved. We hope you can join us in celebrating the international day of love in what has been a trying year for many, and that while doing so we can support some incredible local charities.”
To watch the online festival, please head to www.facebook.com/NQYEvents on Saturday 13th February from 9:30am.
