Calling all young explorers! Newquay town buildings are hiding secret dates, and we need your detective skills to uncover them.
Families are invited to join the exciting, free "Date Detectives: Town Building Adventure" – a unique historical treasure hunt that transforms our town streets into an interactive learning experience for children of all ages.
Unlock the Secrets of Our Historic Town
The Date Detectives trail challenges young participants to follow clues leading them to significant buildings throughout our town centre. At each location, children will need to search for hidden date that reveals when these architectural treasures were built, connecting them to our rich local heritage.
Join the Adventure!
Collect your clue sheet from the Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre on Marcus Hill, TR7 1BD and follow the clues to the buildings. When completed, return to the Tourist Information Centre to claim your prize.
Essential Information for Budding Detectives
Dates: 24th May - 30th September 2025
Starting Point: Visit Newquay Tourist Information Centre, TR7 1BD
Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 5:30pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am - 4pm.
Cost: Completely FREE for all participants
Recommended Ages: 5-12 years (must be accompanied by an adult)
