This summer, we're delighted to offer P-51 Mustang experience flights from Cornwall Airport Newquay, with our iconic Mustang Moonbeam McSwine joining our two-seat Spitfire for an unforgettable weekend of warbird flying.

FLY in a 1944 US Army Air Force Mustang:
Mustang 30 minute ‘Newquay Airport’ Flight. Hear the roar of the Packard-built Merlin engine echo across the tarmac as this gleaming silver and blue P-51D Mustang taxiis to the runway at Newquay Airport. Nestled in the cockpit behind the pilot, you’ll feel the vibration of raw power beneath you —a reminder of the aircraft’s legendary WWII heritage.
Cruising at an altitude of around 2000ft the view from the bubble canopy is breathtaking. Every manoeuvre—whether a gentle turn or a victory roll is a testament to the Mustang’s agility and engineering brilliance. This isn’t just a ride; it’s a journey through time, aboard one of the most iconic fighters ever built.
This 1944 P-51D carries the markings of ‘Moonbeam McSwine’ as flown by USAF triple ace pilot William Thomas Whisner Jr .
